Over the years I have studied with a variety of artists whose work and techniques I found interesting. Starting in the mid 1970s, I was painting with oils in an Old Master’s style. I quickly found a mentor who believed in my talent and challenged me to grow. In my early 20s I began taking the only workshop that was available in Winnsboro, a small town in Northeast Louisiana. My favorite thing was the largest box of crayons you could get and poster board. At the age of 12, I knew that I loved creating images.
